Land Rights Specialist

As a key member of the team at Bruton Knowles, you will play a pivotal role in the acquisition of land rights and compensation work for various projects. This includes major Utility and Infrastructure schemes, Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects, as well as other transport, gas, water, and electricity initiatives. You will be required to deliver high-quality services to clients, colleagues, and other business teams while ensuring that all correspondence is properly authorized before sending.
About the Role:
The primary objective of this position is to achieve fee income set in performance reviews, with much of the role requiring support from more experienced colleagues. Key responsibilities include dealing with landowner complaints regarding on-site activities, assisting the team in settling compensation claims, working closely with project teams often directly from the project/client site, building and maintaining own knowledge and skills through company-run training, and maintaining accurate time records on Changepoint to targets set in performance reviews.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
This role requires a strong interest in land activities, suitable transferrable experience, and skills to facilitate delivery of land referencing, negotiating land rights, and dealing with compensation claims. A good working knowledge of IT, particularly Microsoft Office packages including MS Excel, MS Outlook, and good keyboard skills, are essential. Additionally, self-starters with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, are desired. Candidates must also possess the ability to accept responsibility and work on their own initiative within parameters defined by the immediate performance manager. A clean and full driving license is also necessary.
