Job Overview:

The Acquisition of Land/Rights in Land is a key aspect of our services at Bruton Knowles. We are seeking an experienced Land Rights Technician to join our team, responsible for undertaking land referencing, negotiating land rights, and dealing with compensation claims.

About the Role:

This field-based position requires a self-starter with excellent communication skills to work closely with clients, project teams, and landowners to secure consents and ensure timely delivery of programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality services to clients and colleagues, ensuring all correspondence is authorised before sending.
  • Achieve fee income set through performance reviews, working closely with more experienced colleagues.
  • Manage time effectively, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines and maximise efficiency.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to the team, maintaining accurate records and stakeholder information.
  • Work closely with project teams, often on-site, to ensure timely delivery of programmes.
  • Develop relevant experience in Land Rights-related work within the Utilities sector.
  • Maintain accurate time records, attend training sessions, and maintain an appropriate schedule of training needs and achievements.

Requirements:

  • Suitable transferrable experience and skills in land referencing, negotiating land rights, and dealing with compensation claims.
  • Ability to develop relevant experience in Land Rights-related work within the Utilities sector.
  • Good working knowledge of IT, particularly Microsoft Office packages, including MS Excel, MS Outlook, and good keyboard skills.
  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to work in an organised and methodical fashion, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Clean and full driving licence.
