Educational Assistant with SEN Experience

This SEN Teaching Assistant role presents a unique opportunity to join a supportive and dynamic team at a SEN secondary school in Preston.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs and a strong understanding of the individual needs associated with MLD, SLD, ASD, sensory impairments, and physical disabilities.
The salary for this role is approximately £88.51 per day, depending on experience.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and enriching the learning experiences of all pupils, assisting with the implementation of individual education plans, supporting pupils with their learning and personal care needs, promoting independence and inclusion within the school community, collaborating with the teaching team to create engaging and inclusive lessons, and monitoring and recording pupil progress.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs, a strong understanding of the individual needs associated with MLD, SLD, ASD, sensory impairments, and physical disabilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development, relevant qualifications (e.g., Teaching Assistant qualification, CACHE Level 3, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential, hold an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional reference checks, CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible, and legal right to work in the UK.
