Skill and Qualification Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent coaching and mentoring skills, with experience in supporting apprentices in achieving their goals. You should also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with apprentices, employers, and colleagues.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Coach and mentor apprentices in achieving their apprenticeship standard, using a range of techniques and strategies to support their learning.
  2. Develop and implement high-quality initial training plans with apprentices and employers, incorporating thorough assessments and detailed delivery plans.
  3. Facilitate regular workplace reviews with apprentices and employers, focusing on target setting, progress tracking, and safeguarding responsibilities.
  4. Participate in departmental tracking meetings to report accurately on areas of responsibility and ensure timely catch-up for falling behind apprentices.
  5. Work collaboratively with the Business Development team to assess new employers and ensure they meet evidence requirements.
  6. Ensure accurate maintenance of health and safety and employer liability insurance documents for companies within your caseload.
  7. Support the preparation of portfolios of evidence required for gateway requirements and contribute to the continuous improvement of quality in all apprenticeship activities.

Qualifications:

  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant subject area (e.g., education, business, or a related field).
  • Relevant industry experience, preferably in a teaching or training role.
  • Possession of a valid driving license (due to potential travel requirements).
