About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Plant Equipment Specialist to join our team in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, testing, maintaining, and repairing plant hire equipment in the region, ensuring that all work meets our safety standards.

This role involves working closely with other engineers in the depot and liaising regularly with drivers and the hire desk team to prioritize repairs and maintenance effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test and repair plant equipment to a high standard.
  • Liaise with other engineers, drivers, and the hire desk team to prioritize repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out.
  • Contribute to delivering Speedy's ESG Strategy.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • Technical/engineering background is desirable.
  • Flexible approach to working hours.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
