Merje is seeking an experienced Recoveries Handler to join a small, friendly team, managing a caseload of up to 300 claims and negotiating settlements with insurers and solicitors. This dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a leading insurance company in Rochdale, specialising in credit hire and repair.
About the Role
As a Recoveries Handler, you'll be responsible for negotiating settlements, resolving disputes, and maximising returns for the company. Key responsibilities include:
- Negotiating settlements for credit hire, repair, storage, and uninsured losses
- Investigating and resolving liability and quantum disputes
- Liaising with clients, solicitors, referrers, and insurers
- Processing payments and managing incoming communications
- Maintaining and managing a caseload of up to 300 claims
Requirements
Credit hire experience is preferred but not essential. Strong negotiation and organisational skills are required, as well as the ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively. Knowledge of ABI GTA and motor accident claims is also preferable. Proficiency in MS Office is essential, with experience in the Pro Claim system being beneficial.
