About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fullstack Java Software Engineer II to join our Asset and Wealth Management Core Technology team at JP Morgan Chase Bank, National Association. As a key member of our agile team, you will play a critical role in enhancing, designing, and delivering software components of our state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
  • Write secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
  • Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
  • Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation
  • Apply technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity
  • Gather, analyze, and draw conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure, stable application development
  • Learn and apply system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems
  • Add to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
  • Develop resilient cloud-based applications that integrate with modern cloud services
  • Share knowledge and best practices with the team and wider organization
Requirements
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and expanding applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
  • Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages (Java or Python)
  • Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle
  • Experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot or React
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
  • Exposure to cloud technologies
  • Experience in additional languages and technology such as GraphQL, Database technology, Python, scripting, Messaging or performance testing
