Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialist school in Dawlish. This is a great opportunity to work with children with communication difficulties and/or MLD and SLD.

The successful candidate will have experience working with children with special educational needs and will be able to work closely with a small group of children, often on a 1:1 basis, providing support with early learning, communication, and social development.

This role requires someone who is passionate about supporting children's learning and well-being. If you are a caring and enthusiastic individual who is committed to delivering high-quality support, we would love to hear from you.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Support children with special educational needs in a 1:1 setting
  • Assist with early learning, communication, and social development
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop effective strategies for supporting children's learning

**Requirements:**

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Reliable and punctual with excellent attendance record
