About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Lead to join our Residential Children's Services team in Newport.

Key Responsibilities

  • To oversee the daily operations of the residential home, ensuring a high-quality care environment for young people.
  • To manage and lead a team of Residential Support Workers, providing guidance and supervision to achieve excellent outcomes.
  • To develop and implement effective care plans, working closely with local authorities and other professional agencies.
  • To promote a culture of positive relationships, respect, and empathy among young people, staff, and the community.
  • To maintain accurate records, reports, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in residential child care, with a focus on leadership and team management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of child care legislation, regulations, and quality standards.
