Operations Analyst, Private Credit

Hayfin Capital Management is a leading alternative asset management firm with a strong presence in the private debt market. We are seeking an experienced Operations Analyst to join our Private Credit team in London or New York.
Job OverviewThe Operations Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the Private Credit team in delivering high-quality services to our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our private debt business, including pipeline management, liquidity management, and settlement processing.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Private Credit team in managing the pipeline, including coordinating with internal teams and ensuring upcoming deal activity is clear and understood.
- Compile daily cash ladders required for the Treasury Team and reconcile debt liability management facilities in systems.
- Ensure timely and accurate settlement of all asset classes and reconcile corporate actions/credit events impacting positions and cash.
- Oversee the servicing of assets within the fund, including administration, reporting, and compliance.
- Handle payment processing and approvals, and perform daily cash and position reconciliations.
- Respond to internal or external stakeholders' queries/requests and manage relationships with 3rd parties.
- Ensure the integrity and quality of data processed by our team, including establishing and following documented processes, procedures, and controls.
- Prioritize risk management and control measures to mitigate potential issues or exposures.
- Participate in team or firmwide projects.
- Adaptability and flexibility in response to changing conditions.
- Operational knowledge of all asset classes, data processing, reconciliations, and payments.
- Proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg, and Asset Servicing Systems (WSO/Solvas/Sentry).
- Strong technical proficiency, attention to detail, and data governance skills.
- Effective management of all deliverables, including daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly deadlines.
- Prioritize and delegate effectively, function independently in a complex environment, and establish and maintain strong relationships internally and externally.
- Ability to challenge the status quo, desire for continuous improvement, and change mindset.
- Collaboration with internal and external teams, supporting team training and integration.
- Project focus, including process reviews, automation, and efficiency projects, and oversight and management of teams for project implementation.
- Problem-solving oriented, strong decision-making skills aligned with business direction and strategy.
- Risk assessment, ensuring adherence to processes and controls, logging, and mitigating operational incidents.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Finance or related discipline.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience working with primary and secondary loans, as an administrator or buy-side operations.
