We are seeking an experienced Youth Support and Development Coordinator to join our summer team at JCC Greater Boston. This critical role involves providing tailored support to campers with unique needs, ensuring their successful integration into the general camp environment.

About the Position

This is a full-time, on-site summer position requiring a strong background in mental health counseling, social work, or school adjustment counseling. As a member of our team, you will collaborate with other Advocates to deliver comprehensive support services to campers with BMESH needs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Case Management: Conduct thorough assessments to identify camper needs and develop personalized support plans.
  • Staff Training: Provide expert training in de-escalation techniques and strategies for working with campers with complex needs.
  • Emergency Response: Collaborate with the camp crisis intervention team to address emergencies and provide urgent support to campers in need.
Eligibility Criteria
  • Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field, with a preference for advanced degrees.
  • Substantial experience working with children and adolescents, particularly those with special needs.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Salary & Perks
