We are seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our Locality Team in Rutland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for working with children and families to provide support and protection. Your duties will include holding caseloads, undertaking assessments, and producing reports. You will also be required to work with other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children. This is a temporary role, and you will be working on an hourly rate of up to £38.
Key Responsibilities:
- Holding caseloads of children subject to Child Protection Plans and Children in Need under Section 17 of the Children's Act of 1989
- Undertaking Initial Assessments under Section 17 of the Children's Act of 1989
- Undertaking Core Assessments and Child Protection Enquiries under Section 47 of the Children's Act of 1989
- Undertaking Pre-Birth and Parenting Assessments under Section 47 of the Children's Act of 1989
- Completion of Section 7 and Section 37 reports requested by Family Courts
- Carrying out home visits for monitoring purposes/to promote the welfare of and to safeguard the children
- Producing Initial Child Protection Conference reports
- Convening and chairing Core Group Meetings
- Initiating and implementing Child Protection Plans and Care Proceedings
- Completion of Care Proceedings
- Applying for and obtaining Emergency Protection Orders
- Chairing Children in Need meetings
- Attending court and giving evidence when required
Requirements:
- A recognised social work qualification
- SWE registration
