About the Role

In this exciting opportunity, you will have the chance to work as a Mechanical Engineer in a dynamic team at Manpower UK Ltd in Plymouth.

The role is a 12-month contract, with an estimated salary of £55,000 - £75,000 per annum, offering a great opportunity for professional growth and development.

You will be responsible for the delivery of mechanical engineering work packages to the required scope, quality, schedule, and cost, ensuring that the technical aspects of mechanical engineering packages are completed efficiently and effectively.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver technical designs for mechanical engineering work packages in line with the company's policies and procedures.
  2. Collaborate with the Principal Mechanical Engineer to ensure that the design documentation meets the required standards.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients to achieve project goals.
  4. Maintain accurate records and reports, including quality control and assurance.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to improve design quality and efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
  • Proven experience in mechanical design, preferably in the nuclear or defense industries.
  • Familiarity with engineering software and tools, such as Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
