Job Title: Mechanical Systems Engineer - Hybrid

About the Company:

ARM, a world-leading nuclear defence client, is currently recruiting an experienced Mechanical Systems Engineer to join their team based out of Devonport dockyard.

The Energy Division at ARM provides major new or upgraded dock, berth and building infrastructure projects to provide facilities for the ship and submarine sustainment programmes.

About the Job:

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Systems Engineer to undertake the delivery of mechanical engineering work packages to the required scope, quality, schedule and cost.

  • Undertake technical delivery of one or more design packages as directed by the Principal Mechanical Engineer.
  • Ensure that the design documentation covers the scope of operations required by the Project Manager and is produced to agreed standards, schedule and budget.
  • Operate and deliver through compliance with Babcock's Business Management System and Technical Manual.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure staff and contractors are familiar with hazards and risks associated with the work undertaken.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a degree in an appropriate engineering discipline and Chartered Engineer status. A Nuclear Introductory Course or equivalent nuclear and/or marine system knowledge is also essential.

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is £60 per hour.
