Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join the Mars Wrigley factory in Plymouth. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the operating conditions of equipment, troubleshooting and repairing routine mechanical problems, conducting preventative maintenance, and documenting work orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair or replacement of failed components
  • Troubleshooting and repairing routine mechanical problems on assigned equipment
  • Conducting preventative maintenance on various manufacturing and packaging equipment
  • Documenting work orders using computerised maintenance management system
  • Supporting Operations in equipment setup and adjustments

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in diagnosing and fixing mechanical issues within an FMCG environment
  • Suitably qualified in an engineering discipline supported by relevant experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic pneumatic and mechanical drive systems at the component level

What We Offer:

  • An attractive salary range of £31,000 - £39,000 (base salary + shift allowance) + bonus
  • A 6% performance bonus
  • Pension scheme up to 9% employer contribution
