About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in the UK rail sector. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading all proactive business development and account management of a mature revenue stream worth £3m-£5m on an annual basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively drive new business activities to win new orders and new customers.
  • Build, lead, and maintain strong customer relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Grow the order book through targeting long-term sustainable revenue growth.
  • Work closely with the sales, projects, and engineering teams to develop new and innovative technical solutions for customers.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve sales targets.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of sales performance, winning new business and developing key accounts.
  • Experience of providing high-quality tender/bid submissions.
  • Commercial astute to interpret contract terms and conditions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with engineers and project teams.
  • Good length of tenure within their career.
