Health, Safety and Wellbeing Business Partner

At the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), we are committed to creating a culture of excellence in health, safety, and wellbeing. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Partner to join our team and support our divisions in building a strong health, safety, and wellbeing culture.
Key Responsibilities- Influence and support senior leadership teams to achieve health, safety, and wellbeing cultural excellence in their area.
- Lead groups to identify and implement improvements to health, safety, and wellbeing policy and procedures and culture.
- Represent the HSW team and HSE at internal and external meetings and events.
- Build and maintain effective health, safety, and wellbeing support networks.
- Experience of advising on key risks at team/divisional and organisational level and making recommendations on improvements, controls, and mitigation.
- Experience of evaluating legal compliance to advise and inform teams/divisions and influence HSW decision making at organisational level.
- Experience of analysing data to identify trends and risks and making recommendations for improvement, mitigation, or control.
- Experience of owning elements of a HSW management system and maintaining the associated policy, process, and procedures.
- Experience of providing a channel for two-way communication between teams/divisions and the wider organisation on all HSW matters.
Recognised HSW qualification at Level 5 or above (or be currently working towards prior to undertaking this appointment and completing it within the first 12 months of this appointment).
MembershipsChartered Member of IOSH (or completion within 12 months of appointment or attainment of the Level 5 HSW qualification).
