Job Description

GMP Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the Operations department, this individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's compliance with relevant legislation and managing projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and control orders received from customers, including supply only and turnkey contracts.
  • Administer site project work areas, maintaining efficiency and control.
  • Act on verbal or written instructions from the Operations department regarding order processing and labour allocation.
  • Conduct site visits to collect information and specifications for projects.
  • Produce Method Statements and risk assessments for project repairs and installations.
  • Design and engineer contracts using CAD software and produce information for manufacturing purposes.
  • Assist in specifying the latest design technology to meet company design obligations.
  • Implement contract management policies to ensure gross margin profit is achieved.
  • Control costs throughout contracts in real-time.
  • Review material usage and procure materials that meet project specifications.
  • Adhere to quality procedures involved in process and on-site manufacture.
Requirements:
  • Proven project and technical experience in material handling, industrial construction, or similar site engineering.
  • Project and Technical Engineer or equivalent experience from an engineering fabrication company in the West Midlands.
  • Mechanical understanding and solid manufacturing industry knowledge.
  • Understanding of site services and ability to work with customers and staff.
  • Cultural fit with the company size and environment.
