We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to join our team at Phoenix Medical Supplies in the Addenbrookes Hospital branch.

This is an exciting opportunity to further your clinical skills working in a hospital environment and make a difference in the healthcare industry.

You will be given extensive and specialist training as well as gaining exposure to the hospital pharmacy environment.

The hospital pharmacy environment provides an excellent service, currently dispensing around 20,000 items per month.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining accurate patient records: Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Providing medication counselling and support to patients: Provide medication counselling and support to patients, answering their questions and addressing concerns.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals: Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses, to optimise patient care.
  • Managing pharmacy inventory: Maintain accurate patient records and manage pharmacy inventory.
  • Offering advice on over-the-counter medications and healthcare products: Offer advice on over-the-counter medications and healthcare products.
Requirements
  • Professional registration: Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Experience in a hospital setting: Proven pharmacy experience preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Commitment to patient care and safety: Strong commitment to patient care and safety.
  • Communication skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Teamwork and problem-solving: Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical products and healthcare trends: Up-to-date knowledge of pharmaceutical products and healthcare trends.
