About the Role

This position is based within the mortuary department at Princess Royal University Hospital. The mortuary provides a full range of services, including body storage, post-mortem examinations, and identification facilities.

The ideal candidate will have excellent administrative skills and be able to maintain accurate records and databases.

They will also be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the office and providing a high level of customer service to relatives and other stakeholders.

The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE level or equivalent and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Manage the day-to-day administration of the mortuary department.
  2. Maintain accurate records and databases.
  3. Provide a high level of customer service to relatives and other stakeholders.
  4. Ensure the smooth running of the office.
  5. Liaise with various grades of staff, including pathologists, clinicians, and funeral directors.
