Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialty Doctor to join our team in Emergency Medicine at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialty Doctor, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients, including clinical leadership and supervision of junior medical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care to patients, ensuring the highest standards of clinical care are provided to all patients attending the Emergency Department.
  • Be proactive in ensuring that all patients receive rapid assessment, treatment, and clinical decision-making, while ensuring that the Emergency Access Standards are adhered to.
  • Provide highly visible and focussed clinical leadership, working in conjunction with the nurse in charge of the shift and the SpR/Specialty Doctor lead to ensure effective and timely communication between the clinical team.
  • Be proactive in the Care Group's clinical governance agenda and take on leadership roles to support continuous learning and improvement.
  • Participate in relevant audit and quality assurance processes.
  • Communicate with local GPs.

Requirements:

  • Varied shifts available, including ad-hoc shifts at any time of the day.
  • Start date: ASAP, with no end date, and the opportunity to work on short-term contracts.
  • Pay: £91 per hour, with expected hours of 40-50 per week, Monday to Friday, and weekend availability.
