Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialty Doctor to join our team in Emergency Medicine at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialty Doctor, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients, including clinical leadership and supervision of junior medical staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care to patients, ensuring the highest standards of clinical care are provided to all patients attending the Emergency Department.
  • Be proactive in ensuring that all patients receive rapid assessment, treatment, and clinical decision-making, while ensuring that the Emergency Access Standards are adhered to.
  • Provide highly visible and focused clinical leadership, working in conjunction with the nurse in charge of the shift and the SpR/specialty doctor lead to ensure effective and timely communication between the clinical team.
  • Participate in relevant audit and quality assurance processes.
  • Liaise with clinicians and managers within and outside the department to address issues arising that affect the services.
Requirements
  • Valid GMC registration.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Minimum of 3 months paid experience in the NHS/UK.
  • 6 months UK paid experience as a doctor.
  • MRCP and on the Specialist Register.
Working Arrangements

This is a full-time position with various ad-hoc shifts available every time of the day. The successful candidate will be required to work 20-50 hours per week.
