Job Title: Emergency Medicine Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Emergency Medicine Specialist to join our team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Junior/SHO/ST1-2, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Emergency Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initial assessment, investigation, and management of patients attending the ED
  • Assignment to work in different areas of the department, including Resus, Majors, Paediatrics, and the ED Observation Bay
  • Arranging admissions and preparation of electronic discharge summaries as appropriate
  • Ensuring accurate, up-to-date, and legible records of patients in your care
  • Supervision by Consultants or Specialty Doctors in Emergency Medicine
  • Participation in weekly departmental teaching sessions, audit, governance, and research activities
  • Covering for absence of colleagues, including on-call cover, at short notice
Requirements:
  • Valid GMC registration
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Minimum of 3 months paid experience in the NHS/UK
  • Clinical attachment complete
