About the Role

This is a flexible health visitor role that offers a unique blend of professional fulfillment and adaptable scheduling. As a bank nurse, you will provide vital healthcare services within the community, making a significant impact on patients' lives while having the freedom to choose your working hours.

The flexibility of a bank role enables community nurses to balance their professional duties with personal commitments, fostering a healthy work-life balance. Additionally, working in diverse community settings provides opportunities for skill development, autonomy, and meaningful interactions with patients from various backgrounds.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver care for families, children, and communities in partnership with team members and service users.
  • Provide a proactive, responsive service based on identified health needs, leading the delivery of the universal Healthy Child Programme.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and agencies to ensure a seamless delivery of services for children and families within the community.
  • Assess child and family needs, using appropriate assessment and risk assessment tools, and develop and implement outcome-focused care plans.
  • Support breastfeeding and parent-infant relationships, applying Unicef UK Baby Friendly Initiative standards.

What You'll Need

  • A minimum of 6 months paid experience in a Health Visitor role within the last 3 years.
  • NMC Professional Registration and current knowledge of Health Visitor practices.
