The University of Bristol is seeking a part-time Counsellor to provide 1-1 and group therapy to students. The role is part of the Student Counselling Service, which offers a range of support services within the Education and Student Success division. The Counsellor will work a permanent and year-round contract with a flexible schedule, including Tuesdays from 10:30am to 6:30pm, Wednesdays from 9am to 5pm, and Thursdays from 12pm to 8pm. The Counsellor will primarily use the One at a Time (OAAT) approach to support students with a broad range of presenting issues. The role also involves facilitating therapeutic groups and providing individual supervision and CPD training. The Counsellor will work closely with the team to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for students. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students and a strong understanding of the OAAT model. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The Counsellor will be provided with ongoing training and support to ensure they are equipped to provide high-quality services to students.
