Patient Pathway Coordinator

The shift pattern is standard office hours. Please note that the salary is pro rata for part-time hours.

Working closely with all members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team and associated clerical staff, the post holder will be responsible for ensuring the timely movement of cancer and potential cancer patients through their journey from referral onwards. The post holder will also facilitate the collection, analysis, and presentation of cancer waiting times data.

Main base is Inverclyde Royal Hospital, but travel to other sites in GGC will be required.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the timely movement of cancer and potential cancer patients through their journey from referral onwards.
  • Facilitate the collection, analysis, and presentation of cancer waiting times data.
  • Work closely with all members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team and associated clerical staff.

Requirements:

  • HNC/SVQIII in Business Administration/Information Management/Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of software systems, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Advanced keyboard skills.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of computer systems in use in the Greater Glasgow & Clyde.
  • Medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of cancer and cancer referral pathways.

NHS Scotland is reducing its full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024, but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.
