Waiting List Coordinator-endoscopy

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
This is a permanent post working 37.5 hours per week Mon-Fri.
The role is to work as part of a team to assist with medical and surgical Endoscopy services within Inverclyde Royal Hospital. To be responsible for the receipt and management of all referrals, liaising with medical and nursing staff and at all times, adhering to GG&C waiting list policy. The post holder will liaise with clinicians to plan management for patients, arrange admissions, ensure the inpatient list is up to date and ready for theatre. You will also be required to deal with telephone enquiries from internal/external agencies, liaising with ward staff to ensure all relevant information is provided for patients to be admitted from ward.
