Engineering Development Initiative

This exciting opportunity at ENGINEERINGUK is perfect for those looking to kickstart their careers in production. Our 17-month fixed-term contract offers a competitive starting salary of £21,840 and a comprehensive package of benefits, including industry-leading training and a defined pension scheme.

You'll work closely with our production teams across the UK, gaining hands-on experience in radio, TV, or digital media. You'll develop your skills in content development, technical equipment operation, research, social media content creation, and studio assistance, all under the guidance of expert production team members and BBC trainers.

As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work on live radio programmes, edit audio, produce video for social media and regional TV output, and craft audio for BBC Sounds. We're looking for passionate individuals who can demonstrate their enthusiasm for delivering world-class content and operational excellence.

About the Placement

Our Local Radio stations are at the heart of local communities, celebrating news, stories, and events that resonate with audiences. As part of the Engineering Development Initiative, you could contribute to creating engaging content, operating technical equipment, and assisting with studio productions.

We're seeking talented individuals who can bring fresh ideas and perspectives to our team. Successful candidates will be flexible, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering high-quality results.

To Be Eligible
  • Be aged 18 or over when the programme starts
  • Have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for a minimum of 3 years by the start of the programme
  • Be eligible to work in the UK full time for the duration of the programme contract
  • Not currently taking part in a programme supported by another organisation
