Data Science & AI Lead Designer Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Data Science & AI Designer to join our growing and dynamic Data Science & AI platform team.

The role will play a key technical leadership role in architecting and advancing our Data Science and AI technology stack, leveraging modern day cloud services, and driving CI/CD & automation practices.

A bit about the job:

As a Lead Data Science & AI Designer, you will be responsible for shaping our Architecture Patterns and standards across our toolset, with key alignment into Enterprise architecture and ensuring Security & Technical compliance of our solutions & tooling to Aviva Standards.

You will lead a team of Designers and Architects to support the delivery of good customer outcomes through all activities and deliverables, enabling us to act in good faith towards customers, avoid causing foreseeable harm and enable and support our customers to pursue their financial objectives.

  • Collaborate with a multitude of teams across the business, with a key focus on alignment to enterprise architecture for our Data Science & AI capabilities.
  • Maintain the existing architecture patterns across our toolset, ensuring compliance to Aviva standards, whilst also driving innovative changes and advancements to help unlock new capabilities and modern day practices.
  • Support in the advancement of AIOps and MLOps principles across our end-to-end architecture.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience working within the Cloud Architecture / Design space.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS and/or Azure Cloud Services.
  • A solid understanding of DevOps, AIOps and MLOps principles and concepts.
  • Experience in designing & implementing CI/CD patterns leveraging tools such as Azure DevOps and Jenkins.

  • Salary: Circa £60,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
