About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef/Senior Sous Chef to join our team at a renowned country pub in Farnham. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in creating a menu that showcases local produce and traditional pub classics with a modern twist.

About the Client

Our client is a well-established country pub that prides itself on delivering fresh, seasonal dishes in a welcoming atmosphere. The kitchen has a strong emphasis on using fresh, local ingredients, and the pub itself is a cornerstone of the local community.

Key Duties
  • Plan menus and create innovative dishes while maintaining cost control working to a pre-defined GP target.
  • Ensure consistency and quality in every dish, from preparation to presentation.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative working environment.
  • Contribute to the development of new seasonal dishes and specials.
  • Assist in management of inventory and stock.
Key Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Senior Sous Chef or Head Chef in a high-quality kitchen environment.
  • Passion for using fresh, local ingredients and creating seasonal dishes.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
