Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a technically complex major project to success within the NATO JEWCS IPT at Leonardo. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering projects that meet customer commitments and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of project management, including stakeholder management, lifecycle management, team leadership, and risk management.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies, ensuring seamless collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead project risk and opportunity management, ensuring proactive mitigation and maximization of benefits.
  • Manage complex stakeholder relationships, including internal and external customers, to ensure project success.
  • Present project status and progress to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Ensure adherence to Leonardo's lifecycle management processes and procedures.
  • Liaise with engineering and production managers to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with functional groups to ensure projects are appropriately resourced and staffed.
  • Accountable for contract and project delivery, ensuring customer satisfaction and business growth.
  • Demonstrate expertise in managing multi-disciplined teams in a matrix environment.
  • Proven experience in delivering complex projects in a military environment.
  • Ability to operate effectively with multiple senior stakeholders.
  • Strong customer relationship skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in project planning, scheduling, work package management, subcontract management, and cost control.
  • Relevant degree qualification or equivalent, ideally in a business or engineering-related discipline.
  • Registration as a full member of the Association of Project Managers (APM) is desirable.
