Job Description:

As a clinical educator, you will be part of the ward clinical nursing team, collaborating with a THEO Band 7 and an external facilitator to deliver and evidence the THEO project.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. To assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the THEO project at ward level.
  2. To promote continuous development of clinical practice and effective team working in the delivery of patient care.
  3. To review nursing practice and support the implementation of appropriate changes based on research/best practice.
  4. To contribute to service development and evidence collection associated with the THEO project.
  5. To establish a suitable learning environment for staff and students.
  6. To maintain communication networks at all clinical and managerial levels.

Requirements:
  • Degree/Diploma in nursing.
  • Evidence of post-registration education/CPD Activity.

Skills and Knowledge:
  • Proven compassionate care experience.
  • Demonstrates understanding of efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Ability to prioritise.
  • Successful change management.
  • High level clinical expertise.
  • Knowledge of the NHS plan and nursing strategy.
  • Good understanding of clinical governance issues, risk management, audit procedures, and evaluation.
