Join us at James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a leading anaesthetist We are seeking an exceptional individual to fill the role of consultant general anaesthetist and lead our orthopaedic hub.

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of surgical specialties, including general surgery, colorectal surgery, and trauma. You will be expected to contribute to clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

A salary of £95,000 - £125,000 per annum is offered, depending on experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including generous study leave expenses, opportunities for professional development, and a supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert anaesthetic services to patients undergoing elective orthopaedic procedures
  • Lead clinical sessions in the orthopaedic hub, including weekend elective DCCs
  • Contribute to clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives
  • Fulfill criteria for clinical supervision and educational supervision
  • Promote research and innovation in anaesthesia

Person Specification:

  • FRCA or equivalent qualification
  • MBBS or Basic Medical Degree
  • UK GMC registration
  • Clinical training and experience equivalent to UK CCT in Anaesthesia
