Job Overview

As a Legal Assistant (Planning & Highways) at Cheshire West & Chester Council, you will be responsible for supporting the legal services team in delivering high-quality legal advice and support. Your role will involve managing a varied caseload of transactional work, including drafting essential legal documentation, managing planning and highway related agreements, and keeping up to date with legal developments.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Document Preparation: Preparing and managing documentation for planning and highway agreements, including drafting essential legal documents.
  • Policy Implementation: Keeping up to date with legal developments and implementing changes to the Council's policies as required.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborating with a team of legal professionals to develop your expertise and contribute to the delivery of effective legal advice and support.

The annual salary for this role is approximately £29,000 - £34,000, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career progression.
