Consultant Psychiatrist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Community, you will provide clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment and treatment of individuals with severe, complex, and high-risk psychiatric conditions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide diagnostic assessments and treatment to service users with severe, complex, and high-risk psychiatric conditions.
  • Manage and give professional supervision to junior medical staff.
  • Ensure that junior medical staff operate within the parameters of the New Deal and are Working Time Directive compliant.
Requirements
  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • MRCPsych or equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
  • Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
  • Included on the GMC Specialist Register within General Adult Psychiatry or within 3 months.
  • Approved clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
  • Excellent knowledge in specialty.
  • Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
