We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in providing exceptional care to older adults with mental health needs. As a Consultant Psychiatrist for Older Adults, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of patients, providing clinical leadership, and contributing to the development of our mental health services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality clinical care to patients with mental health needs, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Lead and manage a team of junior doctors, providing supervision and support to ensure the delivery of excellent patient care.
- Contribute to the development of our mental health services, including service planning, quality improvement, and research.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including social workers, nurses, and therapists, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Participate in education and training, including teaching and supervising junior doctors, and contributing to the development of our education and training programs.
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- MRCPsych or equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
- Experience of working with older adults with mental health needs, including dementia and other complex conditions.
- Excellent clinical skills, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to lead and manage a team of junior doctors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
