Civil Site Manager Job Description

Cherry Professional is seeking an experienced Civil Site Manager to lead our water infrastructure projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects by managing sites effectively, minimizing risks, and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Site Management: Oversee the setting out of construction projects, ensuring accuracy and precision in layouts, material measurements, and other critical aspects.
  • Progress Management: Effectively influence project progress, ensuring deadlines are met and milestones are achieved.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other team members to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety: Work closely with the team to ensure adherence to quality, environmental, and health & safety standards throughout the project phase.
  • Knowledge Development: Continuously develop your knowledge in the industry, communicating and implementing best practice guidance to line managers and relevant staff.
  • Integrated Management System (IMS): Maintain IMS requirements, policies, and procedures to ensure effective project management.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Undertake any other duties as necessary, including management of subcontractors, teams, and project delivery.
Ideal Candidate:
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in the clean water/wastewater sector is essential.
  • Numeracy and IT skills, including MS Office, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience working on water infrastructure projects, including clean and wastewater projects.
  • Ability to use initiative, take accountability, and drive projects from start to finish.
  • Deadline-driven, with the ability to motivate teams to hit key targets.
  • A full driving license.
