Civil Site Manager Job Description

Cherry Professional is seeking an experienced Civil Site Manager to join our client's team. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of water infrastructure projects by managing sites effectively, minimizing risks, and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Site Management: Ensure that construction drawings are accurately interpreted and communicated to site teams, and that setting out is accurate and precise.
  • Project Coordination: Effectively influence project progress and ensure programme deadlines are met, working closely with all team members to ensure quality, environmental, and health and safety aspects are adhered to.
  • Relationship Building: Develop effective relationships with clients and subcontractors, and manage subcontractors and teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Health and Safety: Manage health and safety policies and procedures, and ensure that all team members are aware of and adhere to them.
  • Document Control: Responsible for all document control as an integral part of project control.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or other industry-related qualification with 5+ years relevant on-the-ground experience.
  • Experience within the clean water/wastewater sector is essential.
  • Numeracy and IT skills, including MS Office, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience and knowledge working on water infrastructure projects, including clean and wastewater projects.
  • Ability to use initiative, take accountability, and responsibility for projects from start to finish.
  • Deadline-driven, with the ability to instill motivation in teams to hit key targets.
  • A full driving license.
