This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Healthcare Assistant with Marie Curie, providing specialist palliative care and support to patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
About the Role
As a Healthcare Assistant working nights with our community-based team, you will support patients and families in their time of greatest need. You will provide care and emotional support to patients with life-limiting illnesses, while offering vital support to their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Support patients with their daily living needs, including personal care and hygiene
- Monitor patients' symptoms and provide emotional support
- Assist with medications and keep accurate records
- Work collaboratively with the team to provide high-quality care
Requirements
- 6 months' experience in a health or social care environment
- National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
- Functional skills at Level 2 in numeracy and literacy or equivalent
- Emotional strength and ability to work independently
