About the Role

Birkbeck, University of London, is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to lead our Academic Standards and Quality team.

We are looking for an individual with extensive experience in managing quality and standards in higher education, who can provide expert advice and guidance on quality assurance systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and manage the Academic Standards and Quality team within the Education and Student Experience Directorate.
  2. Ensure compliance with external quality assurance frameworks and regulatory requirements.
  3. Provide strategic leadership on quality assurance and enhancement initiatives.
  4. Represent Birkbeck in external quality assurance bodies and national groups.
Requirements
  1. Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  2. Experience of working effectively with students and staff at all levels.
  3. Proven track record of managing quality assurance and enhancement in higher education.
