Therapeutic Support Specialist

ABL Health Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Child Therapist/Counsellor to join our team in Nottinghamshire. As a key member of our Specialist Weight Management Service, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality therapeutic support to children and young people.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in child therapy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse communities. A relevant professional qualification at degree level and registration with a professional body (such as AFT, BABCP, BPS, BACP, UKCP) are essential requirements.
About the Role
- Deliver therapeutic interventions to children and young people accessing specialist weight management programmes.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care provision.
- Conduct psychological assessments and formulate client-specific plans.
- Prioritise own workload and manage time effectively to meet service demands.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Experience of delivering child and young person therapeutic interventions.
- Knowledge of cognitive behavioural therapy core concepts and behaviour change models.
- Good communication and facilitation skills.
- Administration and IT skills for tasks such as psychological assessments and case notes.
What We Offer
