Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Nursing Home Manager to lead our 82-bedded care home in Wantage - St Katherine's House.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure high-quality service delivery to residents
  • Build and maintain occupancy levels
  • Recruit, train, and retain a professional and experienced staff team
  • Comply with CQC, business governance, and operational policies and procedures
  • Manage home profit and loss within a set budget
  • Promote marketing ideas to enhance the home's reputation
Requirements
  • Proven track record in successful CQC good-rated care home management, backed by a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care
  • Compassionate yet assertive leadership, with the ability to inspire positive change and continuous improvement in care quality
  • Day-to-day operational management, employee motivation, and commercial drive
  • Experience in executing action plans to increase occupancy
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Diploma Level 5 in Health and Social Care
  • Registered Nurse Certification is desired but not essential
