About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead our Frailty Unit at Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing advanced medical decision-making for patients in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior nurses on the ward to provide advanced medical decision-making for patients.
  • Offer medical guidance and leadership in the multidisciplinary team management of patients.
  • Participate in advanced care planning and end-of-life care.
  • Oversee and contribute to the education and training of junior doctors, medical students, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Communicate with patients, families, and carers about their medical care.
  • Coordinate with other medical specialties for specialist advice when necessary.
  • Engage in governance, addressing incidents, fostering learning, and handling complaints.

Requirements
  • GMC Registration and a License to practice.
  • CCT / SER or equivalent.
  • Experience of supervising junior doctors and ANPs.
