The Met Office is seeking two talented Data Engineer Industrial Placements to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality environmental data services. About the Team

You'll be part of the Data Services Tribe in the National Capability Technology function, working alongside diverse and highly skilled experts in the field of environmental data processing. We're a collaborative team that values innovation, creativity, and teamwork, and we're committed to delivering accurate and reliable weather and climate services.

About the Role

This full-time 37-hour-per-week position offers a salary of £26,000-£31,000 depending on location, plus excellent benefits. As a Data Engineer Industrial Placement, you will be responsible for implementing and supporting services that allow the discovery, querying, subsetting, and processing of environmental data, as well as collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects that meet the needs of internal interfaces and external products and services.
