Purchasing Supervisor

We are seeking a motivated and proactive Purchasing Supervisor to join our client's exceptional team. As a key member of the purchasing function, you will work collaboratively with a fast-paced team to build key skills, improve processes, and maintain supplier relationships.
The Role:- Taking ownership of daily management and providing structured training and guidance to enhance individual and team development.
- Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services.
- Managing supplier performance and lead times, collaborating with external sales teams and suppliers for forecasting and demand planning.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, participating in pricing reviews, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.
- Previous experience in a buyer or supervisory role, including team coaching and supplier relationship development.
- CIPS level 4 certification or a willingness to undertake it.
- Strong leadership skills with a proactive and motivating attitude.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, accompanied by negotiation skills.
- Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage workload.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access, as well as familiarity with ERP systems.
