About the Role

The Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled School Wellbeing Specialist to join its Mental Health Support Team - Young Minds Matter.

As a key member of the team, you will provide support to schools within the MHST using the 'Whole-school Approach' to improve mental health and emotional wellbeing of children and young people.

You will work closely with the Whole School Approach Coordinator, teaching professionals, children, parents, volunteers, and support staff to break down stigma around mental health issues and promote resilience in children.

Main Responsibilities

  • To support the development and delivery of training packages for school staff, parents, and young people alongside other MHST colleagues.
  • To provide expert advice on Whole School Approach and Mental Health and wellbeing to the Whole School Approach Coordinator and other professionals.

The Ideal Candidate

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • NVQ3 or HNC/NND qualification.
  • Experience of safeguarding children.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary, which we estimate to be in the region of £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
