About the Role

Cygnet Health Care is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Cygnet Hudson Hospital, Bury. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in the assessment and treatment of occupational dysfunction for service users within our male Secure Mental Illness and Personality Disorder Service (MIPD low secure, and medium secure).

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat occupational dysfunction for service users within our male Secure Mental Illness and Personality Disorder Service (MIPD low secure, and medium secure)
  • Work with a full multidisciplinary team in a coordinated way to support each service user develop their skills and move through our clinical model of care from admission to discharge
  • Hold leadership and management responsibilities of the Occupational Therapy service of your allocated ward, providing clinical and managerial supervision for activity co-ordinators and maybe allocated line management of an Occupational Therapy Assistant and/or a newly qualified Occupational Therapist
  • Share a leadership responsibility and consistently contribute to the Hospital wide Occupational Therapy provision across the 6 LSU and MSU wards within the Hudson Hospital
  • Deputise for the Head Occupational Therapist as required
