About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Community Health Specialist to join our team at Places Leisure. As a Community Health Specialist, you will be responsible for setting up and managing sustainable Healthy Communities projects/programmes that deliver measurable impact for the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Healthy Communities projects/programmes that address health inequalities in local contract areas.
  • Collaborate with line managers to complete monitoring and evaluation tasks in line with current data protection protocols.
  • Deliver specific Healthy community projects/programmes, such as Exercise Referral, gym-based classes, and falls prevention, according to the parameters discussed with line managers.

Requirements

  • Qualified instructor in a relevant discipline to deliver sessions independently.
  • Experience in planning, delivering, and monitoring sessions.
  • Passion for improving the health of the local community.
  • Ability to use MS tools.
