About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Supervising Social Worker to join our team at City & County of Swansea. As a key member of our Child and Family Services team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, assess, and supervise foster carers to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency teams to provide comprehensive support to children and families.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with foster carers, providing regular supervision and support.
  • Contribute to the development of new service initiatives and projects to improve outcomes for children and families.

Requirements

  • Hold a Social Work Qualification and have up-to-date knowledge and experience of working with children and families in a multi-agency setting.
  • Have a strong understanding of the functions of a fostering service and the importance of safeguarding.
