About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Work Practitioner to join our team at the City & County of Swansea. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in upholding the human rights of individuals and ensuring that the Mental Capacity Act is applied effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Line manage and supervise BIA's within the team, providing regular supervision and completing necessary paperwork.
  • Engage in performance management monitoring and contribute to the development of the DoLS Team.
  • Complete DoLS authorisations and manage the team when the team leader is off.
  • Supervise staff and work on a duty rota to deal with enquiries that come into the team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a good understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards. You will also need to be able to maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, council policies, and procedures.
